Ballots Closed, Election Results Announcement Officially Banned Until 9pm

Voting for Turkey’s 25^th General Elections have ended 5 pm local time.

2015 General Elections included 53,765,231 registered voters, 172,685 ballot boxes, 20 political parties and 165 independent candidates. The voting began at 8 am local time.  

Turkey’s Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey (YSK) banned the election results to be announced until 9 pm but it is possible for YSK to backdate. (EKN/EA/BD)
