Authorities closed down Gezi Park again last night - after reopening following a long closure of 23 days. Some of Turkish police response to protestors appeared on bianet cameras as follows.

Gezi Park only remained open for 4.5 hours last night, as authorities forced its closure - which was accompanied by police violence.

Police used excessive force on various locations of Beyoğlu district including Taksim Square, Istaklal Avenue and its backs streets, Sıraselviler and Talimhane. They reportedly fired plastic bullets, sprayed water cannons and threw gas bombs.
