US Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy Summoned to Ministry of Foreign Affairs

United States Deputy Chief of Mission at Embassy in Ankara Philip Kosnett has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the mutual suspension of visa services between Turkey and the US.

State-run Anadolu Agency reported that the Ministerial officials told Kosnett suspension of visa activities has caused an unnecessary tension and said that they expect that the US will take this step back.

It was stated that Kosnet was summoned to the ministry since US Ambassador to Turkey John Bass is outside of Ankara. (EKN/TK)
