Turkish and Greek Artists Exhibit in Istanbul
An exhibition of Turk and Greek Modern artists called Greece-Turkey Meeting Point: Modern Art, will open on October 17th at the Istanbul Aya Irini Museum.
An exhibition of Turk and Greek Modern artists called "Greece-Turkey Meeting Point: Modern Art", will open on October 17th at the Istanbul Aya Irini Museum.
The Turkey-German Culture Forum and Bayer Medicine organized the event which premiered in Leverkusen, Germany, last April.
The feature artist, Theodoulos from south Greece, was prohibited from attending his last Turk exhibition in 1992 at the Mimar Sinan University for lack of visa. His wife attended in his place.
Michalis Arfaras, Angelos Papadimitriou, Lida Papaconstantinou, Jannis Psychopedis, Rania Rangou, Costas Tsoclis and Andreas Voussouras will display work along side Theodoulos.
Representing Turkey is Admnan Coke, Ender Guzey, Gulsun Karamustafa, Serhat Kiraz, Husametin Kocan, Murat Morova, Nazif Topcuoglu and Aysen Urfalioglu. (YE)
