Trustee Appointed to Mardin’s Kızıltepe Municipality

Kızıltepe sub-Governor Ahmet Odabaş has been appointed as trustee to Kızıltepe Municipality in Mardin province.

Kızıltepe Co-Mayors İsmail Asi and Leyla Salman were detained on November 25 and arrested on December 2 on charge of “[illegal] organization membership”.

As of December 6, there are 48 Democratic Regions Party (DBP) co-mayors under arrest and that 37 trustees were appointed to DBP-governed municipalities. (ÇT/TK)
