Preliminary Results Differ According to News Agencies

As preliminary results have been released in Turkey’s municipal elections, a contrast have been observed between news agencies.

According to the ruling by Turkey’s Higher Election Council, news agencies were allowed to share the preliminary results by 7:15 pm local time.

The preliminary results released by semi-official Anatolian News Agency and Cihan News Agency demonstrated contrasting data.

While Anatolian News Agency showed that AKP was far away winning the elections in Istanbul, Cihan New Agency told that CHP was ahead.

In addition to that, two news agencies also have different data vis-a-vis the total number of ballots and electorate. (YY/EKN/HK/BM)
