Orhan Pamuk Not in Exile
2006 Nobel litterature prize laureate Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk who took part in the literary festival in Hay on Wye, Wales, said that he does not feel like a writer in exile. His new book will appear in December.
At the Hay on Wye literary festival, writer Orhan Pamuk countered a question about "being in exile" by saying that he did not feel like an exiled writer, and that he had been in Turkey very recently.
He said: "There is some political pressure on me. I was in Turkey recently. There are some misunderstandings. It has taken some time to solve these misunderstandings, but we should not dwell on that topic here".
Pamuk said that his new book, "The Museum of Innocence" would be published in Turkey in December. (NZ/AG)
