One Soldier Loses His Life in Şırnak
One soldier has lost his life in an explosion that occurred during a mortar fire in the district of Uludere in Turkey’s southeastern province of Şırnak. Four soldiers have been wounded, one of whom in serious condition.

An explosion took place during a mortar fire opened for military training purposes at the Biliç Tepe Base Area in the district of Uludere in Turkey's southeastern province of Şırnak today (November 16).
It has been announced that one soldier has lost his life in the explosion and four other soldiers have been injured.
While the wounded soldiers have been taken to the Şırrnak State Hospital in a helicopter, it has also been reported that one of the soldiers has been seriously wounded.
The Ministry of Defense has made a statement about the explosion and stated that "one solider lost his life in a weapon accident that occured during the continuing operations." (EKN/SD)
