One soldier lost his life yesterday (June 23) in the southeastern Hakkari province as a result of a harassment fire that was opened from Iran, the Ministry of National Defense has announced.
Contracted Infantry Corporal Recep Durak was conducting a reconnaissance and surveillance duty in the border district of Yüksekova, the ministry said in a statement.
He was taken to the hospital after being shot and lost his life there, it said. (TP/VK)
