One Soldier Loses His Life in Hakkari
After the PKK launched an attack against the Altıntepe base area in Çukurca, Hakkari, a conflict erupted between them and security forces. Contract soldier Kadir Yıldırım has lost his life in the conflict.

A conflict erupted between the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and security forces in Altıntepe Base Area in Çukurca, Hakkari.
After the PKK opened fire on Altıntepe Base area late at night today (June 28), a conflict erupted between them and the security forces. Contract soldier Kadir Yıldırım has lost his life in the ensuing conflict.
Referred to Çukurca Public Hospital, Kadir Yıldırım has lost his life there despite all medical interventions.
While the statement released by the Ministry of National Defense said "A heroic comrade in arms has fallen martyr" without naming the soldier, it has been reported that operations are still continuing in the region. (EKN/SD)
