Nuclear Regulatory Board Formed by Decree
Another decree has been issued within scope of State of Emergency, which will mark its second year on July 20. Nuclear Regulatory Board whose members will appointed by president through the decree has been formed.

A decree for Nuclear Regulatory Board (NRB) to be formed has been published on the Official Gazette.
The NRB is given the authorization to regulate the activities concerning nuclear energy and ionizing radiation.
Body of the board
- According to the decree, the NRB will be an institution that will have administrative and financial autonomy.
- The NRB will consist of five members and they will be appointed by the president.
- The board members will be appointed as from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s date of oath-taking, and the first meeting will be held within two weeks from the appointment.
- Nuclear Technical Support Corporation will be established for all sorts of services that the institution will need. (PT/TK)
