Gendarmerie forces have raided human rights activist and conscientious objector Halil Savda’s home in Turkey’s southeastern district of Cizre in Şırnak province.
Going to the home with armored vehicles at around 7 a.m., the gendarmerie forces searched the house for an hour.
Sending a written message to bianet as to the incident, Savda said that some very old prison letters, some letters sent by the Amnesty in support of him against the charge of “turning people against the military service” pressed against him, and some photos were seized.
Noting that there is no investigation launched into him, Savda stated that the security forces told his sibling that “He needs to go to the prosecutor’s office to give a statement”. (EKN/TK)
