First Projections
After half of all ballot boxes have been opened, the Justice and Development Party takes the lead again, followed by the main opposition Republican People's Party. The far-right Nationalist Movement Party is above the 10-percent election threshold.
According to the initial results published by ntvmsnbc.com, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) that ruled for the last two terms is taking the lead again. Up to now, half of all ballot boxes have been counted (50 percent).
Initial results
AKP: 52.88 percent;
Republican People's Party (CHP): 22.56;
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP): 13.29;
Independent candidates: 6.90 percent.
