Clashes, Explosion in Bitlis: 5 Soldiers, 1 Ranger Killed
A ranger has lost his life in the armed conflicts that occurred in Hizan district of Bitlis province and an improvised explosive device paved on the road has been detonated while a military vehicle dispatched to the region was driving by. Three soldiers have lost their lives in the explosion.

In the clashes in the rural area of Nazar village in Hizan district of Bitlis between security forces and members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a village ranger lost his life and one soldier was injured.
PKK members detonated the improvised explosive device paved on the road near Gayda village in Hizan district of Bitlis while a vehicle carrying soldiers sent to the region, was driving by.
Initial findings indicate that three soldiers have lost their lives and seven others been injured in the attack carried out around 1.00 p.m. (EKN/DG)
