Center to Protect Children
Meltem Yatagan, the spokeswoman for the Childrens Friends Study Group, said they were working to set up a Child Protection Center. The center will be set up with financial support from the World Bank.
The educational meeting called, "Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Children being Knocked Around," organized by the Aydin Children's Friends Study Group, was held at the meeting hall of Aydin state hospital.
The Children's Friends Study Group is formed by representatives from the Aydin Bar, Adnan Menderes University, Social Services Child Protection Institution, National Education Directorship and Provincial Health Directorship.
The group's press spokeswoman, lawyer Meltem Yatagan said they were working to set up a "Child Protection Center," in Aydin.
The center would provide medical and psychosocial support to prevent children from being neglected or exploited. The World Bank has provided financial support for the center. (BB/EA/YE)
