Caricaturists Tease PM With Soap Opera Cover
Weekly satire magazine Penguen dedicated this week's cover page to Muhteşem Yüzyıl, a Turkish soap opera telling the life story of Suleiman the Magnificent.

Penguen caricaturists depicted a horse with screams of joy to get a role in the famous soap opera, addressing PM Erdogan's criticism that the Ottoman emperor spent 30 years of his life on his horse instead of being buried under harem intrigues.
"We haven't read our great ancestors like it was depicted in that soap opera. I warned officials several times to start an investigation process," said Erdogan last week, subtly admitting that he was intervening press freedom and independent justice.
