bianet Awarded By Chamber of City Planners

Chamber of City Planners, an organization under the umbrella of Turkey’s TMMOB, awarded bianet with its annual prize in “Urban Planning Media”. 

Every year on November 8 - World Urban Day - the chamber awards distinguished journalists for “their contribution to the urban culture and conscious as well as their coverage on urban issues and their sensitivity towards city planner’s opinions”.  

A ceremony has been held on Friday in Izmir’s 9 Eylül University. bianet editor Nilay Vardar attended the ceremony to receive the prize. 

Other prize recipients were listed as follows: Elif Ince (Radikal newspaper), Söz Meclisten İçeri program (Ege TV), Açık Radyo, Mustafa Yılmaz (Milliyet newspaper) and Abdullah Yalçın (Antalya Körfez newspaper). (NV/BM)
