The Ankara Chief Office of Public Prosecutor has asked for an investigation permit from the Transport minister Yildirim for Suleyman Karaman, the General Manager of the State Railways Authority (TCDD), saying that fast train journeys were launched without the infrastructure was completed.
The Public Prosecutor, who joined the crime declarations made after the train accident that had resulted with the death of 38 and injury of 95 people in Adapazari, charged Prosecutor Abbas Ozden on the issue.
Then the Chief Office of Public Prosecutor asked for an investigation permit from the Transport Ministry for General Manager Suleyman Karaman. If Communication Minister Binali Yildirim does not give the investigation permit, the Chief Office of Public Prosecutor has the right of objection to the Council of State. Karaman might face a prison sentence up to 3 years.(YE)
