58 Percent Said "Yes" to Constitutional Reform Package
99 percent of all ballot boxes were opened by 8.30 pm on Sunday night (12 September). The referendum on the constitutional amendments was approved by 58 percent of all votes counted by then, 42 percent voted against the package with a turnout of voters amounting to 77 percent.

More than 50 percent of the electorate voted in favour of the constitutional amendments in the referendum on Sunday (12 September). Thus, the amendments have been approved by the public vote.
Considering a turnout of voters of 77 percent, about 45 percent of all people entitled to vote said yes to the referendum package.
These are the results as of 8.30 pm on Sunday:
Ratio of counted ballots: 99.62 percent.
"Yes" votes: 58 percent.
"No" votes: 42 percent.
Turnout of voters: 77 percent.
As announced by the Supreme Election Committee (YSK), the total number of eligible voters amounted to 49,446,269. (TK/VK)
