458 Civilians Lost Their Lives in Bomb Attacks in Last 5 Years

20 bombings in which civilians died occurred in Turkey since 2013. Seven of the attacks were launched in İstanbul; four in Turkey’s southeastern city of Diyarbakır; three in capital Ankara, and the others were in İzmir, Hatay, Urfa, Antep and Hakkari.
According to the information we as bianet compiled, 11 of these attacks were launched directly against the civilians. 365 civilians lost their lives.
Nine soldiers were launched on military housings, police vehicles or buildings; 74 security staff and 93 civilians lost their lives.
Unknown number of people were injured in the attacks. Some of those who were injured in the attack lost their lives despite medical care.
The state authorities blamed “malicious terror attacks” in every attack. No official has resigned duringover five years. (TP/HK/TK)
