A soldier and a village guard have lost their lives during a clash that broke out within the operations carried out against the PKK in Van.

A sergeant major and a village guard lost their lives in clashes during an operation against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the Çaldıran district of Van province in Eastern Turkey.
The operation was carried out in the Tendürek mountain region of Çaldıran. Three other soldiers were injured in the clash. Air operations continue in the region (NV/DG)
